kemu - Kerstin Mueller

An exploration of virtual environments for living, working and playing for a masters thesis in Architecture in 1998 at the University of Stutgart initiated Kerstin's exploration of computer generated graphics. Her work won an award of distinction from the university and placed in the top 10 of Taiwan's FIEDAD computer architecture award in 1999.
Her virtual and augmented reality work continued with a collaboration with the University of Washington's Human Interface Technology lab in Seattle. Kerstin's "Shigo" illustrated the ARToolkit technology at the SIGGRAPH 2001 computer graphics conference. This research led to the augmented reality installation "Distraction". 6 large paintings define the boundries and connection points of a virtual environment through which one can walk. "Distraction" again placed in the top 10 in the 2002 FIEDAD award.
Her first solo work for SOURCE "fragment", highlights her crisp primary-color abstract three dimension aesthetic.
Kerstin continues work as an architect in Vienna.

topherZ - Christoher Zimmermann

In 1998, Topher co-founded the dandelion collective. Over the next 4 years dandelion collective visual became a Seattle institution in the exploding underground dance music scene - closely connected to the NorthwestRaves internet community.
Tophers visual work continues where his physics education left off, exploring and communicating the beauty and complexity of the everyday world. Finding inspiration in the world animating techniques of Guy Roland ("Pacer") and David Berry ("New Versions"), Tophers SOURCE releases are high-velocity remixes and reanimations of photographed environments.
After local exhibition in the Bellevue art museums Film and Video festival and Seattle's MicroCinema: Independent Exposure , Topher's animated short "Intersection" was screened worldwide from Brazil to Japan in the "Directors Cut" program in the RESFEST 2001 Digital Film Festival tour.
Returning to the VJ fold, Topher and Kerstins co-directed music video "Image Park" placed 2nd in the 2004 Cinetrip VJ tournament Masterwork category in Budapest. Catching the eye of Addictive TV's Graham Daniels, Topher and Kestin were commisioned to remix Image Park for series 4 of U.K.'s ITV channel cult VJ television show, MixMasters.
