VIDEO:  Bang Shit I am often extremely hesitant to film people directly, this was especially true at Burning Man where the cameras and videocameras were bewildering in number. But at this amazing structure, amid these intense people, the concept and name of a short film materialized in my mind: Bang Shit. It was so beautiful to see each person entranced and introspective, but clearly gaining energy from the communal noise. I let the microphone encode the physical structure and the actions, and focussed my lense on the people and their expressions. I have encoded the clips to streaming sizes so you can get the flavor of them over the internet, but these are no substitute for the actual videotape.
