Why did it affect me so much more this time? Why was
I more impressed, inspired, depressed and tired? In the past few years I have come to appreciate what a focal point
NYC is on our planet. I took that perspective with me on the six hour bus ride down from upstate newyork. It blew
me away when I stepped out of the Port Authority bus terminal, into the rushing maelstrom of My first hour there was a new experience. I was smiling. So many people. For me, a reality to fill in the details of my awareness/concept of 'diversity'. I was there for three days, enough time to experience three different late night music scenes. Enough time to walk the streets and ride the escalators. Enough time to avoid the tours, enough time to grind my shoes out and get sick.
