The following pages are a photo tour through our week at La Grave.

In creating each of the photo-essays, I tried to capture something of the flavor of exploration we felt during our week in the couloirs and glaciers of La Grave.

This is the first project I've done of this scale so let me know what you think. (timb@dandelion.org)

A few notes on navigation:

Every photo is a link, so if a page doesn't seem to go anywhere click on the picture.

Each part of the maps on the next two pages will take you to a different photo-tour. As you move your mouse around the mountain, a little dialogue box should pop up to tell you where that link takes you (this can be slow so be patient). There is also a list at the bottom of the page with all the destinations. While you are in a photo tour clicking on the image or part of the image will take you to the next page. Note that a few images contain multiple destinations, these will also have links below the image so you can choose which one to take.

Bandwidth Note:

This is definitely a high-bandwidth site. Trying to view it over a slow connection will probably make you grumpy. I apologize that didn't have time to try and optimize the pictures better, but in general I think the viewing experience is improve by larger images. If you can find a way to view these pages over a faster connection you will have a lot more fun exploring.
